He worked for 3 of the world’s leading media agencies: HAVAS, MediaCom and PHD and a number of successful startups in 3 of the world’s major regional hubs: London, Dubai and Singapore. Along the way he managed countless digital campaigns and built 2 digital performance departments from the ground-up, working with a diverse portfolio of local and multi-national companies – including some of the world’s biggest advertisers: Unilever, Volkswagen and Etihad Airways. Moreover, he is a huge start-up enthusiast, helping promising startups to rise off the ground.

Gaurav is the Lead Data Scientist at DBS Bank. He lends simplicity to the (sometimes very mathematical) concepts in Data Science. He can easily relate the concepts of data science to practical problem solving situations you are likely to find yourself in. His style is well suited to beginners as well as experienced programmers. Gaurav enjoys following and writing about cricket in his free time.

Saif Farooqui is a Technical Analytics Lead in the Business Integrity team, which protects users and ensure safe connections between users and businesses. The team's focus on data analysis, machine learning and a robust infrastructure of back-end systems allows them to collaborate effectively with engineering and product teams.
Prior to working on data science at Facebook, Saif bounced around a fair bit, from consulting to economics research to marketing science and then computer vision, before a teaching position at (drum roll) General Assembly led to the job of his dreams. Ask him about python generators and the temporal considerations of data analysis!

A brand storyteller and creative entrepreneur, Ayesha Kohli is the founder of communications consultancy, Sparq Communications, the editor of Creative Sparq, the founder and creative director for niche textile label, Ayesha Cashmere. With over a dozen-years’ experience in brand management, public relations, journalism and design, Ayesha has worked on a range of communications projects for multinational brands and start-up organization’s covering lifestyle and consumer goods, technology, education and non-profit sectors. A life-long learner, Ayesha holds a double Masters in Business and Economics. Her mantra is to live a creative life – ask questions, find answers, learn by doing and create by intention.

Nicki is the CEO of CardUp, a payments company that enables individuals and businesses to utilise their credit card for all their big expenses, regardless of whether the recipient accepts card payments. A payment professional, Nicki has a background in business development, consumer insight, analytics and marketing having worked for American Express across both Asia Pacific and Europe. During this time she held a variety of leadership roles including Head of Consumer Insight for APAC and Director of International Business Development, where she was reasonable for identifying and developing partnerships with technology and fintech companies across the region. Nicki started her career as a management consultant at Deloitte Consulting, after graduating with a first class degree in Economics.
